This university exploration, promoted as part of the 2023 designated donation project fund support from the Jeonbuk Community Chest of Korea, provided out-of-school youth who are contemplating their career paths with an opportunity to listen to department introductions, experiences, and admission explanations under the theme "Employment, Confident Employment".

Korea Polytechnic University Jeonbuk Campus has a total of seven departments.

The departments that the out-of-school youth experienced that day were the Smart Electric Vehicle Department, where they can acquire professional qualifications such as automobile maintenance industrial engineer, mechanical maintenance industrial engineer, automobile maintenance technician, and automobile self-repair technician. Since it was a department they had never encountered before, the youth showed great interest.

The out-of-school youth who participated in the university exploration said, "Listening to the explanation of autonomous vehicles and driving an autonomous vehicle ourselves was a valuable time to think again about and experience the safety and convenience of eco-friendly electric vehicles capable of autonomous driving becoming widespread in the future."

They added, "We are also grateful for the opportunity to gain precious experience through a university exploration that is difficult to experience individually."

Director Jeong Il-shin said, "We will continue to support out-of-school youth to find their dreams based on various experiences," and added, "We will become the Namwon City Out-of-School Youth Support Center that grows together with the local community."

The Namwon City Out-of-School Youth Support Center is an institution that supports out-of-school youth in accordance with the Act on Support for Out-of-School Youth by providing counseling and educational support, job experience and employment support, and self-reliance support tailored to the individual characteristics and needs of out-of-school youth, helping them grow into healthy members of society.
