Music fans now have the opportunity to satisfy their long-held curiosities using data from the largest music platform. On the 21st, Kakao Entertainment's music platform Melon announced, "As part of the 'Twenty-Year-Old Melon' campaign, we are holding the 'Ask Anything to Twenty-Year-Old Melon' event until the 16th of next month, offering gifts to users who leave fresh and interesting questions about South Korea's music data."
This is the second event of the 'Twenty-Year-Old Melon' campaign, following 'Congratulations Twenty-Year-Old Melon.' 'Ask Anything to Twenty-Year-Old Melon' answers all curiosities about the South Korean music industry and trends through Melon's big data. Among the questions from users directed at Melon, the most fun and original ones will be answered in the upcoming 'Twenty-Year-Old Melon' event.
Participants can join this event by clicking the 'Ask Anything' banner on the main screen of the Melon app, which leads to the event page. Users can leave any question about domestic music data, such as "How many users listened to only one artist's songs for a whole year?" A total of 222 participants will be selected by lottery to receive prizes. Luxury rain boots, hotel accommodation vouchers, and delivery app coupons are among the prizes waiting for participants. During this event, viewers can also enjoy videos featuring congratulatory messages sent to Twenty-Year-Old Melon by popular domestic and international artists such as (G)I-DLE, Kang Daniel, Christopher, and John K.
Meanwhile, Melon, which started its service on November 16, 2004, has turned twenty years old this year according to Korean age standards. Currently, Melon's cumulative number of subscribers exceeds the entire population of South Korea. In response, Melon is conducting the brand campaign 'Twenty-Year-Old Melon' to celebrate together with its users.
