Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Dispatches 'One Team Korea' to Saudi Arabia

Visiting Saudi Arabia from the 21st to the 25th

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced that from the 21st to the 25th, it will dispatch One Team Korea, led by Minister Won Hee-ryong, to Saudi Arabia.

This visit was planned to promote the competitiveness of our companies and support business discussions as the entry into Saudi Arabia is becoming visible not only in construction infrastructure but also in various other fields.

On the 22nd, Minister Won is scheduled to meet with key government officials such as the Ministers of Urban-Rural Housing and Energy to explore practical cooperation measures in areas including construction infrastructure and plants.

He will also focus on the need for cooperation in new fields such as digital transformation and climate change response in line with Saudi Vision 2030, and plans to discuss concrete follow-up projects regarding the digital transformation cooperation memorandum of understanding signed between Naver and the Ministry of Urban-Rural Housing.

Additionally, he will actively support the advancement of our companies in IT and mobility sectors by attending the MOU signing ceremony for cooperation between Daeyeong Chaebi and the Saudi charging company (icharge) to expand Saudi electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

On the 23rd, Minister Won plans to visit the Marjan plant construction site, currently being built by Hyundai Engineering & Construction, to encourage on-site workers and hold a meeting with local companies to listen to business trends and difficulties.

Minister Won said, "This dispatch of One Team Korea will be an important momentum that can lead the trust and cooperation built between the two countries to tangible results. Through the G2G network, we will actively provide project order information and contact points to strengthen the public-private partnership between the two countries, continuously establish cooperation platforms, and promote the competitiveness and innovative technologies of One Team Korea to ensure full support for participation in Saudi Arabia's major projects."
