About 40 merchants and students from Chodang University participate, offering various food and programs such as cultural performances, mobile stalls selling Hwangto food, seafood sales, flea markets, and food trucks.
In particular, on the 1st of next month and at the end of August, the Namdo Market Touring Group will visit to present various performances including Dongdong Gurumu, Sotdae riding, tightrope walking, and street performances.
On the day of the opening ceremony, about 700 people visited not only from the local community but also from other regions such as Busan and Seoul, participating in various games and a prize event.
This event, first held in 2019 but temporarily suspended due to COVID-19, is being held again after four years. The county and the Merchants Association stated, “We will strive to attract many tourists to the Muan Traditional Market Saturday Night Market through continuous promotion by visiting social networks, out-of-county beaches, and tourist attractions.”
