On-site Safety Management Capacity Building Training Conducted and Safety Health Keeper Appointed

On the 19th, Pohang City held the "Safety Management Training for Construction Projects and Business Operations Over 100 Million KRW in Pohang City" at the Lifelong Learning Center Auditorium.

Pohang City Conducts Safety Management Capacity Building Training On the 19th, the Lifelong Learning Center auditorium hosted the "Safety Management Training for Pohang City Projects and Contracts Over 100 Million Won." This training was conducted for public officials and site managers responsible for construction projects and business operations over 100 million KRW in Pohang City, aiming to strengthen on-site safety management capabilities at city workplaces and improve safety awareness in industrial sites.


On this day, the training focused on overall awareness improvement regarding industrial safety, cases and causes related to the "Serious Accidents Punishment Act," and "Safety at Construction Sites by Case." Additionally, a Safety and Health Keeper appointment ceremony was held.


The Safety and Health Keepers consist of three private industrial safety experts who will visit about 30 workplaces until the end of the year, guiding and encouraging site managers to autonomously improve hazardous and risky factors. Through this training, the Keepers enhanced their work capabilities and expertise for on-site inspections.

Kwon Hyuk-won, Director of the Job and Economy Bureau, stated, "To prevent industrial accidents, the employer's interest and workers' safety awareness are most important," adding, "In accordance with the central government's roadmap to reduce serious accidents, we will continuously provide training for site managers and promote labor safety and health support projects such as Safety and Health Keepers to create a safe Pohang free from industrial accidents."
