The ceremony began with a retrospective video of the 17th anniversary of the hospital’s opening, reviewing the achievements of the past year through numbers. It was followed by awards for outstanding departments and staff, long-term service awards, and a plaque of appreciation presented to excellent partner companies (including Oh Hee-deok, CEO of Angel Staff).

Vice President Kim said, "I am grateful for the hard work of the staff who have run alongside the hospital, which has now reached an age close to adulthood. The past year was like a stepping stone for further development as the hospital reached maturity. We have been preparing to streamline and systematize operations to respond to the rapidly changing medical environment after COVID-19, including strategic reallocation of hospital space, establishment of an automatic bed assignment system, extension of outpatient consultation hours, and data standardization through integrated EMR implementation. Although there will naturally be difficulties in the initial phase of implementation, I hope the hospital will become one that holds value beyond the inconveniences and efforts in the future."

Kangdong Kyung Hee University Hospital, which opened on June 12, 2006, was re-designated last year as a regional emergency medical center responsible for emergency care in the southeastern area of Seoul, providing final emergency treatment. It ranked first among general hospitals in Newsweek’s selection of Korea’s Top 100 Hospitals for two consecutive years, 2022 and 2023, establishing itself as a medical institution offering the highest quality medical services.
