She expressed, "I am deeply sorry once again to the beloved residents of Jung-gu and Yeongdo-gu who have raised me over the past 20 years," and "I apologize again to the wonderful people I have met through 24 years of party life, the senior and fellow lawmakers who are striving to restore common sense and fairness in the Republic of Korea, and to party members and comrades."

She added, "I will humbly let go of everything, take full responsibility for all the criticism directed at me, and reflect deeply with a more humble attitude. I will prioritize the livelihood of the people and devote all my efforts until the end for the success of the Yoon Seok-yeol administration and the future of the Republic of Korea," and "Above all, I will live a life dedicated to my two daughters who have been hurt because of their flawed parent."

Hwang said, "Considering the concern I have caused the people, it is only right to resign from my position as a member of the National Assembly," but also requested, "I earnestly ask the people to embrace me with broad generosity so that I can fulfill my final responsibilities to the local residents who trusted and elected me."
