On the 19th, Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced that it will conduct a 'Self-Evaluation of Integrity' for 76 senior public officials, including directors and department heads, by the 27th to establish a sound organizational culture and improve internal integrity.
This evaluation will be conducted through a survey method using the 'Standard Model for Diagnosing Corruption Risks of High-Ranking Public Officials' provided by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission to ensure objectivity.
The survey covers a total of 19 items in 4 areas: ▲fair job performance ▲prohibition of receiving undue benefits ▲creation of a sound public service atmosphere ▲efforts to practice integrity and setting an example, designed to systematically diagnose and analyze corruption risks related to work and organizational culture.
The survey will be conducted online targeting an internal evaluation group composed of the evaluated person's superiors, peers, and subordinates, with confidentiality guaranteed through respondent anonymity and encryption of evaluation content.
Buk-gu plans to provide the evaluation results to the individuals to encourage self-management in vulnerable areas and use the data for promoting integrity policies, such as improving corruption risk factors to renew organizational culture.
A Buk-gu official said, "We hope this evaluation will serve as an opportunity for senior public officials to set an example and spread a culture of integrity within the organization."
