According to Nam-gu on the 19th, a 'Construction Safety Capacity Enhancement Training' for construction site safety management and accident prevention was held in the large conference room on the 8th floor of the district office that morning.

About 100 people, including construction site personnel in the district, district office officials in charge, and the Honam branch of the Korea Infrastructure Safety Corporation, attended the training, which lasted about 90 minutes.

The attendees learned about the relevant laws and guidelines that must be observed at construction sites, such as fall accident prevention, and pledged to comply with safety rules while reviewing various types of accidents occurring at construction sites.

Since the 13th, Nam-gu has formed a safety inspection team together with the district office’s Architecture Division, Housing Division, Safety General Division, and the Honam branch of the Korea Infrastructure Safety Corporation, and has been steadily conducting safety inspections at one construction site for the Bandabi Gymnasium commissioned by the district office and 18 private construction sites.

This inspection will be conducted on the 23rd, and the safety inspection team is thoroughly checking the appropriateness of construction supervision work on-site, hazards within the construction sites, safety management facilities, and overall conditions. Any violations of related laws will be subject to correction orders and reported to relevant agencies.

A Nam-gu official said, "To prevent safety accidents at construction sites in advance, thorough on-site quality management and improvement of awareness regarding safety accidents are necessary," adding, "We will continue to conduct education for safety management at construction sites in the future."
