Bucheon-si, Small-Scale Job Fair '19Day'... Providing Customized Jobs

Bucheon City in Gyeonggi Province is making efforts to revitalize the stagnant job market by frequently holding small-scale recruitment events called '19 Day (Job Seeking Day)' to alleviate labor shortages and employment difficulties.

According to the city on the 19th, 38 companies participated this year in regular recruitment events such as 19 Day, which supports companies facing difficulties in hiring or needing interview venue assistance to conduct swift recruitment events. On-site interviews were conducted for 417 candidates, resulting in the hiring of about 110 people.

On the 8th, a 19 Day event was held for five transportation companies, where about 10 people were hired and completed safety training at the transportation companies.

An HR manager who participated in the recruitment event said, "We were having a hard time hiring bus drivers recently, but receiving information about job seekers in advance allowed us to consider various factors such as work ability and willingness to work, which greatly helped in selecting hires."

A Bucheon City official stated, "We discover and guide quality jobs to job seekers and provide many opportunities such as fairs for companies to hire excellent personnel. We will continue to do our best to support employment services for customized job matching between companies and job seekers."
