Dongjak-gu (Mayor Park Ilha) is publicly recruiting 300 members for the ‘Sustainable Development Resident Promotion Group’ to lead the harmonious and balanced development of the current and future generations of Dongjak-gu.

As issues across all fields such as energy saving, low birthrate, and climate crisis become more serious, the district has decided to promote ‘Dongjak-gu-style sustainable development’ to improve awareness and encourage practical activities among the current generation.

The resident promotion group will begin activities with an inauguration ceremony held in July and will operate for two years, proposing policies for sustainable development.

They will also engage in various practical activities to spread awareness related to population, society, economy, environment, and ESG, and volunteer hours will be recognized for their volunteer activities.

The discussed agendas may be reflected in the district’s major projects in the future, and at the end of the year, a performance report meeting will be held to share key activity cases and recommend awards for outstanding participants.

The recruitment target includes residents living in Dongjak-gu or those active in schools, institutions, or organizations located in the area; anyone interested in environmental, economic, or social issues can apply.
