According to Gunsan University on the 16th, the '41st Jeonbuk Automobile Spring Forum and Co-chairman Inauguration Ceremony' was held the day before in the university headquarters' main conference room.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by about 200 people, including Kim Bang-shin, CEO of Tata Daewoo Commercial Vehicle, Kang Hee-sung, president of Howon University, Lee Gye-cheol, president of Gunjang University, Kang Im-jun, mayor of Gunsan, Kang Young-il, chairman of the Gunsan City Council, representatives of companies located in the national industrial complex, and related personnel.
President Lee will serve as co-chairman with Kim Bang-shin, CEO of Tata Daewoo Commercial Vehicle, for the next two years, engaging in activities for the development of the automobile forum and the Jeonbuk automobile industry.
The Jeonbuk Automobile Forum is a private forum involving local universities, Jeonbuk Province, Gunsan City, regional innovation institutions, and partner companies, operated under a co-chair system where representatives are elected from both industry and academia.
President Lee said, "I will strive to make the forum a future industry platform related to smart mobility," adding, "Centered on the joint campus being established in the Saemangeum National Industrial Complex, we will provide excellent talent in the right scale at the right time so that companies do not face difficulties due to manpower issues."
