Vice Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Discusses Support Measures at Webtoon Site

Jaedam Media, Kakao Entertainment, and Others Participate

Jeon Byeong-geuk, the First Vice Minister of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, will discuss support measures for the development of the webtoon industry at Jaedam Media on the afternoon of the 14th. He will encourage stakeholders from Jaedam Media as well as Kakao Entertainment, Kidari Studio, Finger Story, Manhwa Family, M Story Hub, Webtoon Warehouse, and the Korea Webtoon Industry Association, and gather on-site opinions including difficulties and suggestions. Vice Minister Jeon said, "Webtoons have been remade into movies and dramas, becoming content enjoyed by people worldwide," adding, "We will consider multifaceted measures to help the related industry effectively respond to challenges from global companies and changes in the production environment."
