This year’s ‘DugeunDugeun~ing’ held its first event on the 10th and will hold the second event on the 24th, dividing a total of 100 unmarried men and women recruited in May into two groups of 50 by age for each session.

At the end, seven final couples who expressed mutual interest were matched.
Even after the event, plans are in place to expand interaction and communication among participants by holding after-parties and forming team self-help groups to encourage natural meetings.
A participant, Mr. Lee (male, 38 years old), who attended the event said, “At first, I was worried about being nervous and awkward, but I was able to have a comfortable and enjoyable time. It was meaningful to interact with peers working in various fields, and I plan to continue the relationship based on today’s connection.”
Hwang Eun-chae, Director of the Family and Childcare Division, said, “I hope young generations continue to meet and achieve good results through this event,” adding, “We will continue to prepare family support policies suitable for the current era to overcome low birth rates and create a healthy family-friendly society.”
‘DugeunDugeun~ing,’ part of the population extinction response policy, provides a natural communication and exchange platform for unmarried men and women, fostering a positive perception of dating and marriage. Since its inception in 2016, it has matched 105 couples, of which 32 individuals (16 couples) have married and started families.
