Dongjak-gu, Gangseo-gu, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seocho-gu Youth Public Officials Gather for Communication and Collaboration
Joint Workshop Held at the Proposal of Park Il-ha, Mayor of Dongjak-gu
On the afternoon of the 7th at 3 PM, over 60 public officials under the age of 39 working in Seoul’s Dongjak-gu, Gangseo-gu, Yeongdeungpo-gu, and Seocho-gu gathered at the Glad Hotel Bloom Hall in Yeouido.
The event, held under the name "Talk Pa-won Gather," was promoted with the purpose of forming networks, communication, and collaboration among autonomous district employees.
Following group cooperative programs and conversations among participants, a busking performance tailored to the younger generation’s perspective was held.
A Dongjak-gu official stated, "This joint autonomous district workshop was organized at the proposal of Park Il-ha, Mayor of Dongjak-gu."
Recently, the number of ‘MZ generation’ public officials leaving public service has surged due to lower salaries compared to the private sector and rigid organizational culture. The event was planned to help them adapt to the organization and broaden their perspectives as administrative officers.
In particular, since administrative public officials in autonomous districts are limited to personnel transfers within their own district and have difficulty interacting with other districts, such events are especially meaningful.
A public official attending the event said, “As private companies actively compete to attract talented individuals, it is time for the public sector to undergo fundamental changes so that MZ generation public officials can feel pride in their work.”
