Mapo-gu and Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education Join Hands for Youth Future

Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, Signs Seoul Future Education District Business Agreement with Cho Hee-yeon, Superintendent of Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, on the Morning of the 9th

Mapo-gu (Mayor Park Gang-su) held the 'Seoul Future Education District Business Agreement Ceremony' with the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Cho Hee-yeon) on the morning of the 9th in the district office's main conference room.

The event was attended by Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, Superintendent Cho Hee-yeon, the head and education officers of the Western Education Support Office, the director of welfare cooperation of Mapo-gu, and the head of the education policy department, reaffirming their commitment to future education for youth.

The agreement includes agendas promising active cooperation between the two institutions in educational policy projects to strengthen future competencies such as artistic sensitivity, humanities literacy, self-directedness, and collaboration skills by providing children and youth with diverse learning experiences utilizing local resources.

Mayor Park Gang-su stated, “In the rapidly changing future environment, I ask for the active cooperation of the Office of Education in Mapo-gu’s educational policy projects so that Mapo-gu youth can secure competitiveness. Mapo-gu will also do its best as a local member of the educational community to ensure that children and youth grow up healthily.”
