Gyeongnam Information University held the inauguration ceremony for the Startup Supporters of the Local Contents Focused University Project Group and an expert lecture on the 8th at the campus conference room and art hall.
The event was attended by Gyeongnam Information University President Kim Dae-sik, Busan Social Economy Support Center Director Yoo Cheol, Food Kingdom CEO Lee Chang-hoon, Dandi Venture Forum Secretary General Ahn Jin-beom, and about 30 students.
The newly formed Startup Supporters consist of expert groups from various fields such as local related organizations, startups, media, beauty, and baking, and they are expected to help enhance students' entrepreneurial capabilities.

After the inauguration ceremony, a special lecture was given by Lee Chang-hoon, CEO of the YouTube channel ‘Food Kingdom,’ who was appointed as a Startup Supporter.
Lee Chang-hoon, CEO of Food Kingdom with 3.8 million YouTube subscribers, delivered a lecture to students about cases of discovering local materials and creating value as a promotional ambassador of Busan City, as well as the growth of his YouTube channel.
Lee Sung-wook, head of the Local Contents Focused University Project Group at Gyeongnam Information University, said, “As a local contents focused university, Gyeongnam Information University will continue to expand local creator training programs such as the upcoming local value creation hackathon, popup stores for local startup practice, and the local creator idea challenge.”
Gyeongnam Information University was the only university in the southeastern region selected as the ‘2023 Local Contents Focused University’ by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and has newly established and operates the ‘Local Gourmet (美食) Major,’ which combines the Hotel Food and Beverage Cooking Department and the Hotel Baking and Pastry Department, and the ‘Media & Beauty Contents Major,’ which combines the Media Video Department and the K-Beauty Department.
