A Wealth of Science and Technology Experiences... Gimhae International Bio-Life Science Festival Held

Special Lectures by Professors Lee Guk-jong and Kim Hyung-gyu

Gimhae City in Gyeongnam will hold the "4th Gimhae International Biomedical Science Festival" for two days starting from the 16th.

On the 8th, the city announced that to mark the 4th anniversary of being designated as the nation's only biomedical and medical device specialized research and development zone, it will host an industrial international science festival that combines regional strategic industries and science and technology.

This festival, themed "Well-Bio City Gimhae, Opening the Glocal Era," will be held at the Gimhae Small and Medium Business Center, and the opening ceremony will be broadcast live on the city's official YouTube channel, "Gaya Wangdo Gimhae TV."

The event will feature exhibitions of the latest medical devices such as medical and electronic drugs and digital therapeutics, a smart healthcare experience center, corporate promotion halls for fostering future strategic industries, and research institute company promotion halls, all operating as permanent exhibition and promotion spaces.

Domestic and international medical experts will provide practical assistance to companies in areas such as clinical trials, patents, certification, and licensing, and by inviting overseas buyers, opportunities will be offered for biomedical companies to explore overseas markets.

On the first day of the festival, there will be an MOU signing ceremony to promote the development of Gimhae's biomedical industry and establish a cooperative system for biomedical technology innovation, a touch button ceremony as part of the opening event, and the Gimhae Well-Bio Forum under the theme "Trends and Development Strategies of Digital Convergence Device Industry."

On the second day, events will include a corporate promotion (IR) contest for investors in the Gimhae Specialized Biomedical Zone, a science imagination drawing contest, a science entertainment arcade, a reading science quiz contest, and a CSI forensic science team experience with a science YouTuber specializing in science content, all linked with cultural content and science experience activities.

Especially this year, there will be special lectures such as "Marine Medical System" by Professor Lee Guk-jong of Ajou University Medical Center and a science lecture titled "Let's Play, Heart" by Professor Kim Hyung-kyu of Inje University Cardiovascular Metabolic Disease Center.

Science experience zones featuring drones, VR (virtual reality), pathogen experience booths, and a science flea market will also be prepared.
