The National Federation of the Disabled (Jeonjangyeon) announced on the 8th that Rep. Ha Tae-kyung of the People Power Party, who claims that Jeonjangyeon paid protest allowances using Seoul city subsidies, has requested an investigation into Jeonjangyeon by the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency.
On the same day, Rep. Ha stated on his social media service (SNS), "I have submitted a request for investigation into Jeonjangyeon to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency."

Rep. Ha, who serves as the chairman of the People Power Party's 'Special Committee for the Advancement of Civil Society,' has previously announced his intention to request an investigation, alleging that Jeonjangyeon used Seoul city subsidies to pay allowances for 'traffic disruption protests.'
He pointed out, "As an organization conducting the 'Rights-Centered Customized Public Job Project for Severely Disabled Persons,' Jeonjangyeon has the obligation to use the subsidies received from Seoul city appropriately. However, when reviewing the final reports submitted by Jeonjangyeon and testimonies from severely disabled participants in the public job program, it was confirmed that Seoul city subsidies were paid as compensation for participation in various rallies and protests disguised as campaigns."
He added, "It was objectively evidenced that illegal protests, including those disrupting bus operations, were involved," and "Therefore, I have submitted a request to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency to investigate the illegal activities of Jeonjangyeon and its affiliated organizations." Initially, the accusation against Jeonjangyeon was to be carried out by another disability organization cooperating with the People Power Party's special committee, but due to concerns that conflicts among disability organizations might be highlighted, Rep. Ha decided to make the request himself.
