Ulsan Ulju-gun, Onsan Urban Regeneration Resident Contest Project Fund Grant Ceremony

On the 7th, Ulju-gun, Ulsan selected a total of 8 teams for the Onsan Urban Regeneration Resident Contest Project and held a grant ceremony for the project funds.

The county recruited in two categories for this contest project: a general contest project aimed at revitalizing local communities and commercial districts and improving living environments, and a planning contest project with free themes contributing to urban regeneration activation. Seven teams were selected for the general contest and one team for the planning contest.

In the general contest, the selected projects included ▲calligraphy mural production for village environment improvement ▲wood pen production program for promoting urban regeneration projects ▲a healthy community culture creation project through artistic creation activities and presentations by people with developmental disabilities ▲production and installation of market guideboards to improve the image of Deoksin 1st Market.

Additionally, projects such as ▲forming a local merchants' band and performances to revitalize the local commercial district ▲production of business cards for stores and local organizations by the village design planning group ▲production of a local food story recipe book to inherit the unique traditional local cuisine of the Onsan area will also be carried out.

In the planning contest, ▲production of an Onsan village archiving video with residents was selected, implementing a project that connects the past and present.

An official from Ulju-gun stated, “This project includes groundbreaking ideas led by Onsan residents to invigorate the village and promote regional development,” adding, “It is expected to grow into an economic organization in the future.”
