Isuhee, Gangdong-gu Mayor, Becomes Honorary 4th Dan in Taekwondo

Lee Soo-hee, Mayor of Gangdong-gu, Receives Honorary 4th Dan for Contributions to Taekwondo Development

Lee Soo-hee, Mayor of Gangdong-gu, was awarded the Honorary 4th Dan certificate in Taekwondo by Kukkiwon on the 31st of last month.

The Honorary Dan certificate in Taekwondo is granted by Kukkiwon after evaluation, in accordance with the Taekwondo promotion regulations and honorary dan certificate issuance rules, to individuals who have contributed to the development of Taekwondo.

Gangdong-gu has contributed to the development and expansion of Taekwondo by continuously supporting the operation of the Gangdong-gu Taekwondo Demonstration Team and by supporting the Gangdong-gu Taekwondo Association, a community of Taekwondo enthusiasts from 68 local clubs, thereby promoting Taekwondo activation.

On this day, the honorary dan certificate was presented by Lee Moon-yong, Chairman of the Gangdong-gu Sports Council, on behalf of the President of Kukkiwon, with Ji Hyun-chul, President of the Gangdong-gu Taekwondo Association, also in attendance.

Lee Soo-hee, Mayor of Gangdong-gu, stated, “Taekwondo is our traditional national sport imbued with our spirit and soul,” adding, “I will continue to strive for the development of Taekwondo so that many people can maintain their physical and mental health.”
