Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization will host a fam tour (promotional inspection) from the 7th to the 10th of this month, inviting 14 Korean product planners from major travel agencies in eight countries, including China.
This fam tour is a follow-up measure after Gyeonggi Province signed a business agreement in April with 12 travel agencies from 10 countries for joint marketing of Gyeonggi tourism products.
The fam tour participants are 14 planners from nine travel agencies in eight countries: Japan, China, Taiwan, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore.
They are practitioners who plan and sell Korean travel products, and direct tourism connections are expected in the future.
The fam tour is divided into three teams: the China team, the Southeast Asia team, and the Japan team. Each team will experience customized product course schedules preferred in their respective countries, including tourism facility programs, accommodations, and food within the province.
They will visit various tourist attractions in the province such as Gimpo Aegibong Peace Ecological Park, Suwon Hwaseong Fortress, Gwangmyeong Cave, as well as industrial tourism resources like Pocheon Ilgyeong Farm and Guri Resource Recovery Facility.
Choi Yong-hoon, Director of the Tourism Industry Division of the province, stated, "We will strengthen cooperation between Gyeonggi Province and overseas travel agencies to fully attract foreign tourists. We hope this fam tour will serve as an opportunity for overseas travel agencies to develop Gyeonggi tourism products linked to various tourist destinations in the province."
