Moment of silent tribute at the Korean Freedom Federation Memorial Day event held on the 6th at Seoul Children's Grand Park
Honoring the spirit of sacrifice of the patriotic martyrs through flower offering, poetry reading, and planting of Mugunghwa saplings
On the 6th, Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin District, attended the memorial ceremony hosted by the Korean Freedom Federation Gwangjin Branch in observance of the 68th Memorial Day.
At 10 a.m., participants observed a moment of silence in response to the siren, followed by flower offerings, poetry readings, and singing of the Memorial Day song. Additionally, together with about 50 local residents, they planted Mugunghwa saplings to honor the noble spirit of sacrifice of the patriotic martyrs.
Mayor Kim Kyung-ho said, “I express my deep gratitude and respect to the patriotic spirits who willingly sacrificed themselves for the country, the national merit recipients, and their families. I will always work diligently and rightly to create a happy and livable Gwangjin for our residents, never forgetting their precious dedication and sacrifice.”
