Broadcasting in the same area with usual bad feelings
Arrested on the spot by police and currently sent home
A female YouTuber swung a fork at the face of a colleague during a live internet broadcast, injuring her, and the video has been shared online, causing a stir.
On the 5th, multiple online communities shared posts containing footage of an assault incident between female YouTubers that recently took place on the streets of Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province at night.
According to the posts, YouTuber A approached colleague B while holding a fork in her hand. When A called out "unnie" (older sister), B turned around.
A then rushed forward and swung the fork toward B's face.
B, who sustained a wound near her temple, bled and collapsed, and A kicked B's head three times while she was down. Despite the intervention of other YouTubers nearby, A also grabbed and pulled B's hair.
This assault was broadcast live through the cameras of A, B, and other YouTubers present.
It was later reported that A was arrested on the spot by the police. According to the Wonmi Police Station in Bucheon, A stated, "We broadcast in the same area and usually did not get along well."
A police official said, "A was arrested on the spot but has since been released. We plan to summon her again to investigate the exact circumstances."
Meanwhile, netizens expressed shock, saying, "The perpetrator recorded her own crime on video, and since she swung a fork at the face, she could be charged with special assault."
The victim B posted a photo of her injury on her YouTube channel community and announced, "I will receive treatment and then turn on the broadcast."
Netizens responded to B's announcement with comments such as, "It's a huge relief that your eyes weren't stabbed," and "It looks like you might have scars on your face, so please do not overlook this and punish her severely."
