Gwangyang-si Recruiting Participants for 'One Month Travel in Namdo' Program

Support for accommodation, transportation, meals, and experiential activity expenses

Promoting Gwangyang tourism branding and revitalizing the local economy

Gwangyang City announced that it is recruiting participants for Jeollanam-do's long-term travel project, "Traveling for a Month in Namdo."


This project was prepared to respond to local travel trends such as traveling like a local, making travel a daily routine, and environmentally friendly travel.

The recruitment target is those aged 18 or older who wish to travel to Gwangyang, excluding residents of Jeonnam and Gwangju. Participants will be supported with accommodation, transportation, meals, and experience activity expenses during the 7 nights and 8 days travel period.


Applicants must submit an application form and travel plan to the person in charge via email by the 16th. For more details, refer to the announcement section on the Gwangyang City Hall website.


The city plans to give preferential selection to influential figures with significant reach such as travel writers, YouTubers, and power bloggers, while assigning SNS promotional tasks to promote Gwangyang tourism branding.


Additionally, through satisfaction surveys, the city will monitor inconveniences and improvement points at tourist sites and strengthen feedback to maximize the effectiveness of the project.


Jung Gu-young, head of the Tourism Division, said, "True travel is not just a brief passing but staying and living like a local," adding, "We hope for the interest and participation of influential figures who can widely promote Gwangyang's unique charm, including its beautiful nature and abundant food."


He continued, "Through the 'Traveling for a Month in Gwangyang' project, we expect to actively promote the hidden charms of Gwangyang travel, which shines both day and night, attract tourists, and revitalize the local economy."
