Application Deadline Until the 23rd
Gyeongju City is recruiting participants to apply for the ‘Living in Gyeongju for a Month’ program until the 23rd.
This project is a program designed to provide residents from other regions with the opportunity to experience Gyeongju and to promote interregional exchange, thereby encouraging an increase in the living and settling population.
For this recruitment, a total of 11 teams will be selected based on participants’ chosen areas of interest, with each team receiving up to 1.5 million KRW for accommodation costs and up to 320,000 KRW per person for experience activity expenses.
A Gyeongju City official stated, “Support is available not only for agriculture, specialty crops, and forestry but also for fields such as tourism, arts, and startups.”
The stay period can be anytime between August and October, and participants must stay consecutively for 21 to 30 nights.
During the stay, participants are required to share at least two experience reviews per day on their personal SNS accounts and, after the program ends, produce and submit creative content promoting Gyeongju as a team.
Applications are open to anyone aged 19 or older residing in other cities, counties, or districts who are interested in Gyeongju and wish to try living there, with up to two people allowed per team.
Those wishing to participate can apply via email, in person, or by mail.
The ‘Living in Gyeongju for a Month’ program has had a total of 62 participants from 2021 through the first half of this year, effectively promoting Gyeongju as a great place to live through SNS activities such as Instagram and blogs.
Mayor Ju Nak-young said, “The ‘Living in Gyeongju for a Month’ program is a great opportunity to experience the precious aspects of the region that cannot be felt through simple tourism,” adding, “I hope this program will serve as a good chance to rediscover the charm of Gyeongju and foster a positive image of the area.”
