Kakao Games began pre-registrations for Ares on May 31 and held various events. Along with the start of pre-registrations, diverse content videos were released on the official website and YouTube channel. Notably, Ares attracted attention with its ▲unique futuristic universe set against a vast space backdrop ▲various appearances of "suits" ▲exciting non-targeting combat through real-time "suit change" ▲high-quality graphics and character customization ▲various mounts and battlefields that traverse both air and ground.

Ares is being developed by Second Dive, founded by CEO Ban Seung-cheol, known for the "Dark Avenger" series which has recorded over 100 million downloads worldwide. It is a multiplatform MMORPG that consolidates years of action RPG development expertise. The game is scheduled for official release in South Korea in the third quarter.
