The Gochang-gun Rural Agreement will invest a total project cost of 58.9 billion KRW (38.3 billion KRW from the central government, 5.3 billion KRW from the provincial government, etc.) over the next five years (2024?2028) to promote various projects for rural revitalization.

In particular, to resolve population structure and development imbalances between eup and myeon, the project includes initiatives such as the central area revitalization project, basic living base creation project, and rural space maintenance project, carrying out regionally customized projects for balanced regional development and improvement of residential environments.

Previously, the county actively prepared for the Rural Agreement centered on the Rural Agreement Committee (Chairman: Gochang-gun Governor) and the Rural Vitality Division (Director: Hong Jeongmuk), forming a mid-support organization (Rural Agreement Support Center), an administrative council, and a living area unit promotion committee.

Additionally, various opinions from fields such as resident surveys were actively reflected, and through professional analysis, rural spatial strategic plans and revitalization plans were established.

County Governor Shim Deokseop said, “We expect that being selected for this Rural Agreement contest will be a great energy to create a happy and vibrant rural city for all residents,” and added, “We will do our best to ensure that the agreement with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs is signed without any issues.”
