The campaign promotion and fundraising period will last until the 16th, and each school and educational administrative institution will autonomously raise funds by establishing their own plans.

The Gyeongbuk Office of Education is responsible for media promotion of the campaign and selecting the supported students, while the Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea manages and aggregates the donations.

The Gyeongbuk Community Chest will provide support funds of 100 million KRW if the total amount raised by the Gyeongbuk Office of Education is less than 500 million KRW, and 200 million KRW if it exceeds 500 million KRW during this campaign.

Lim Jong-sik, Superintendent of the Gyeongbuk Office of Education, said, “The number of students going through difficult times due to the aftermath of COVID-19 over the past three years has increased significantly. We would appreciate it if all residents of Gyeongbuk could participate in the Sharing Hope Campaign to help students recover their daily lives during these challenging times.”

In 2021, the Gyeongbuk Office of Education also conducted a fundraising campaign, collecting 150 million KRW, which, combined with 150 million KRW in support funds from the Gyeongbuk Community Chest, totaled 300 million KRW. This amount was used to provide scholarships to 3,000 elementary, middle, and high school students in Gyeongbuk whose family circumstances had worsened due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
