Gangseo-gu Holds ‘2023 Gender Equality Content Contest’

Call for Slogans, Webtoons, and Videos (UCC) Conveying Gender Equality Messages

Applications Accepted Until July 5, Total Prize Money 2 Million KRW



Seoul’s Gangseo-gu is taking the lead in creating a world where everyone is respected equally.


The district announced that it will hold the ‘2023 Gender Equality Content Contest’ until July 5.


This contest was organized to raise residents’ interest in gender equality, build social consensus, and spread a culture of gender equality in daily life.

The contest is divided into three categories: slogans, webtoons, and videos (UCC).


Participants can submit works on any topic related to gender equality, including ▲gender equality in schools, workplaces, homes, daily life, and media ▲breaking gender role stereotypes, work-family balance, examples of gender equality in everyday life ▲prevention of domestic violence, sexual violence, dating violence, cyber sex crimes, stalking crimes, and more.

Slogans must be within 20 characters, and each person can submit only one entry.


Webtoons can be comics within 4 panels, illustrated diaries, posters, etc., and videos must be MP4 files within 3 minutes.


Seoul Gangseo-gu '2023 Gender Equality Content' Contest

Anyone interested in gender equality can apply regardless of their location by visiting the Gangseo-gu Office Family Policy Division in person, sending by mail, or submitting via email.


The district will select a total of 13 works through department screening and an expert judging panel: one grand prize and one excellence award per category, and seven encouragement awards (4 for slogans, 2 for webtoons, 1 for videos). Winners will be notified individually.


Winners will receive a certificate and prize money up to 500,000 KRW.

A district official stated, “The winning works will be actively used as promotional materials to spread awareness of gender equality,” and added, “We ask for your interest and participation in this contest to practice gender equality in daily life.”
