Gwanak-gu to Host 2024 College Admission Early Application Strategy Invitation Lecture

Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Junhee) will hold a special lecture on college admission early decision strategies to ease the concerns of students and parents preparing for the 2024 college admissions early decision process.

According to the Ministry of Education’s announced “Measures to Strengthen Fairness in College Admissions,” student records from all three years of high school are expected to play an important role in admissions from the 2024 academic year onward.

Accordingly, on June 17th at 1 PM in the Gwanak-gu Office Auditorium, the district will invite Bae Youngjun, a public education admissions expert from Boseong High School, to give a lecture titled “Creating an Attractive Student Record through Analysis of Top Grade Themed Detailed Activities (‘Detailed Competencies’ and ‘Special Notes’).” The lecture will cover ▲subject-specific themed exploration methods ▲college admission early decision strategies considering the changed student record evaluation factors.

Students and parents who wish to participate can apply through the Gwanak Career and Job Experience Support Center blog or the Gwanak-gu Office website.

The district hopes this lecture will serve as a “college admissions guide” for students and parents who have vague anxieties about the admissions process.

Gwanak-gu also provides various information to support successful college preparation for local high school students by hosting 1:1 admissions counseling sessions and special lectures on admissions information by type (early decision and regular decision) at the Gwanak Career and Job Experience Support Center.

A district official said, “We prepared this special lecture to provide practical admissions information to students and parents preparing for university entrance,” adding, “We will strive to offer customized admissions information so that students can plan college admission strategies suited to themselves.”
