Reading the Selected Books of 'Reading Ulsan, Book of the Year'
Recruiting 200 Teams for Children, Youth, and Adult Categories
A 'Reading Relay' event will be held in Ulsan to create a city that reads books.
The Ulsan Library announced that it will recruit participants for the 2023 'Reading Ulsan, Book of the Year' Reading Relay from the 5th until July 31.
The Reading Relay is a reading campaign where teams of three or more people read books selected as the '2023 Reading Ulsan, Book of the Year' in various categories together and share their impressions and one-line reviews.
The three books to be read this year are "I Left the Group Chat" in the children's category, "Dive" in the youth category, and "A Pretty Good Attitude" in the adult category.
The number of teams to be recruited is 70 teams for children, 70 teams for youth, and 130 teams for adults. It is possible to apply for multiple categories.
The first runner of the relay team receives the books from Ulsan Library, then after reading as a team, they leave an online book review on the Ulsan Library website. Once the online review is completed, the last runner of the team returns the books to a nearby public library.
To participate in the Reading Relay, teams of three or more can apply through the Ulsan Library website. The requested books can be picked up at the first-floor lobby of Ulsan Library, and the Reading Relay will run until September 30.
An official from Ulsan Library said, "It will be a good opportunity to share thoughts and feelings with family, friends, and colleagues through the books chosen by Ulsan's public libraries and citizens as the Book of the Year," encouraging participation.
