Zelensky: "Preparing to Launch Major Counteroffensive Operation Against Russia"

Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, stated that he is ready to launch a large-scale counteroffensive against Russia and believes it will be successful.

The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported on the 3rd (local time) that President Zelensky made these remarks in an interview.

Ukraine has recently been intensifying its offensive against Russian ammunition depots and supply routes, attempting to turn the tide with a counteroffensive operation. Some analyses suggest that Ukraine's counteroffensive against Russia could be delayed due to spring thaw and delays in Western weapons support. However, with the ground recently hardening and military strength being reinforced, the conditions to support the operation have been established.

Earlier, at the end of last month, President Zelensky also indicated that the Ukrainian military had decided when to advance, signaling that the counteroffensive was imminent.

On this day, President Zelensky acknowledged that Russian air power is stronger, which means many soldiers will die in the counteroffensive operation. He also said that while Ukraine wanted to secure more weapons supplied by the West, it is still ready to move. He stated, "We want to have certainties, but we cannot wait for months."
