"Eat Pizza Now, Pay Money After You Die"

New Zealand Pizza Company Unique Event
Unpaid Pizza Bill Written in Will for Posthumous Payment

A pizza brand in New Zealand has introduced a unique marketing strategy called the posthumous payment system.

On the 1st (local time), according to The Washington Post (WP), New Zealand pizza chain 'Hell Pizza' has implemented an 'AfterLife Pay' system that allows customers to pay for their pizza through their will after they pass away.

Customers sign a legally binding contract and promise to include the pizza bill in their will to settle the payment from their estate. This payment method was inspired by the 'buy-now, pay-later' system, where consumers pay for purchases months or years after buying.

Ben Cumming, CEO of Hell Pizza, said, "It's a way to potentially get pizza for free," adding, "and you don't have to worry about paying for pizza until you leave this world much later."

Customers fill out a will supplement prepared by Hell Pizza's lawyers and staff, including their name, the pizza ordered, and the amount to be paid. They must also sign the contract with two witnesses.

The event started on the 25th of last month, and over 10,000 people have applied so far.

Customers write their name, the amount to be paid to Hell Pizza upon their passing, and the name of the pizza they purchased in the will supplement prepared by Hell Pizza's lawyers and staff. They must also sign the contract with two witnesses.

Fitting its name 'Hell,' the pizza chain plans to offer this service to 666 people each in New Zealand and Australia.

Hell Pizza first opened in Wellington, New Zealand, in 1996 and currently operates 77 franchise stores across New Zealand.
