Seoul's Major Landmarks to Be Dyed Purple
The marketing frenzy among companies is heating up to celebrate the 10th anniversary of BTS. Big Hit Music, BTS's agency and a label under HYBE, has revealed 13 partners on its website. The industries involved are diverse, including Seoul City, petroleum, hotels, distribution, airlines, beauty, and fashion. There are even offerings like the ‘BTS Accommodation Package’ and ‘BTS Gas Station.’ From the 12th to the 25th, during the ‘BTS 10th Anniversary Festa,’ Seoul is expected to be dyed purple (BTS's signature color) through various events across the city. Big Hit Music stated that the slogan for this Festa is ‘BTS PRESENTS EVERYWHERE,’ meaning ‘BTS is everywhere.’

Conrad Seoul Hotel in Yeouido began selling the BTS accommodation package on the 1st. This package includes a picnic mat and Festa T-shirt produced as a limited edition for the 10th anniversary, a purple Conrad mini bear symbolizing Seoul and ARMY, wine that BTS members drank, and lettered wine glasses. The package is available for deluxe and suite rooms. The Vertigo restaurant is exhibiting a group photo of BTS and operating a photo zone. The lobby lounge Flames is selling a BTS Festa hamper box consisting of ‘BTS macarons,’ the drink ‘ARMY Potion,’ and BTS logo wine glasses.
Conrad is the only hotel collaborating with HYBE for this event. The main event of the 10th anniversary Festa will be held on the 17th at Yeouido Hangang Park, within walking distance from Conrad. Previously, Paradise Busan, which sold a BTS-themed package during the last ‘complete group performance’ at the concert supporting the bid for Expo 2030 Busan in October last year, reported that two-thirds of its guests were foreigners. The Hyundai Seoul, also part of the ‘Yeouido family,’ plans to release a limited edition gift card commemorating BTS's 10th anniversary and operate a themed photo zone inside the department store.
There will also be a ‘BTS Gas Station.’ S-Oil is operating the BTS 10th anniversary-themed Gudoil gas station, allowing customers to refuel while feeling the BTS atmosphere. Gudoil gas station is a directly managed branch of S-Oil. S-Oil has not yet disclosed specific details such as which gas station branches will be themed. It is expected to be revealed close to the official Festa period starting on the 12th. Additionally, customers visiting the gas station can participate in the 10th anniversary event and receive various gifts and benefits.
You can also take ‘life photos’ with BTS. At all nationwide branches of the self-studio Photoism, you can create memories with BTS from 2014. They provide photo frames that make it look as if you took pictures with BTS members. The distribution industry is also busy. GS25 is holding limited product and prize events. Donut specialty store NotiD operates a themed flagship store and sells collaboration products. Kurly has prepared a BTS special exhibition, 100% winning coupons, and a limited edition shopping bag giveaway event.
A special movie theater will also be created. Lotte Cinema World Tower Theater 10 will be remodeled as the ‘BTS Festa Brand Theater.’ During the Festa period, those who book tickets here will receive an A3-sized Festa poster on a first-come, first-served basis. Through photo zones and stamp zone events, there will be opportunities to receive BTS stickers and postcard goods. Additionally, Lotte Cinema will sell the ‘BTS Festa Keyring Combo,’ which includes a BTS keyring, at all nationwide branches.
Furthermore, the fashion platform W Concept, which sells limited edition T-shirts with the BTS 10th anniversary logo, and BT21, which is releasing new products to commemorate the 10th anniversary, are official partners of this Festa. BT21 is a collaboration character between LINE FRIENDS and BTS. While companies conduct marketing, Seoul City plays a role in boosting the atmosphere. Major landmarks such as Sebitseom, Namsan Seoul Tower, City Hall, DDP, and World Cup Bridge will be lit up in purple. Various events, abundant entertainment, and attractions will unfold throughout Seoul.
