Meet Maedoli, Gwangyang City's Character, in a Comic
Open Theme, Anyone Can Participate
Gwangyang City in Jeollanam-do announced on the 2nd that it will hold an ‘Insta-toon Contest’ featuring its representative city character, Maedoli, as the main character.
This contest was prepared to discover diverse and innovative content and to widely promote Gwangyang City's character, Maedoli.
Anyone interested in Maedoli can participate, and the contest theme is open, including Maedoli’s MBTI, love, hobbies, special skills, charm, and more.
The submission period is from July 3 to July 9, lasting 7 days. Entries must comply with the current popular Insta-toon format (within 10 panels, 1080×1080px, 300dpi), and individuals or teams may submit one work via email.
However, entries must be original creations that have not been submitted or awarded in other contests, and works that do not meet the specifications will be excluded from judging.
The city will conduct judging in July and announce the final winners on July 27. Winners will receive ▲Grand Prize: 1 team, 1,000,000 KRW ▲Excellence Prize: 2 teams, 500,000 KRW each ▲Encouragement Prize: 3 teams, 300,000 KRW each, and the winning works will be posted on Gwangyang City’s official SNS.
Jung Hae-jong, Director of the Public Relations and Communication Office, said, “We hope this contest will help people get to know Gwangyang’s charm better with Maedoli and contribute to widely promoting ‘Gwangyang’ through creative ideas.”
