Meeting to Promote Cooperation Held at Gyeongnam Provincial Government Office

The 'Bu-Ul-Gyeong Planning and Coordination Office Chiefs Meeting' to promote ultra-wide cooperation in the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam region was held on the afternoon of the 2nd at the Gyeongnam Provincial Government Office.

According to Gyeongnam Province, the meeting was attended by the planning and coordination office chiefs of the three cities and provinces, support departments from Gyeongnam and Ulsan, and the Bu-Ul-Gyeong Ultra-Wide Economic Alliance Promotion Team.

Kim Ki-young, Chief of Planning and Coordination Office of Gyeongnam Province, Song Kyung-joo, Chief of Planning and Coordination Office of Busan City, and Seo Nam-gyo, Chief of Planning and Coordination Office of Ulsan City, discussed the establishment of an economic alliance cooperation system, joint cooperation projects in Bu-Ul-Gyeong, and future schedules.

Earlier, the heads of the three Bu-Ul-Gyeong organizations announced a joint statement in October last year to form the Bu-Ul-Gyeong Ultra-Wide Economic Alliance.

Subsequently, to establish the economic alliance and promote practical work, the Bu-Ul-Gyeong Ultra-Wide Economic Alliance Promotion Team was launched on March 29, and it is focusing on systematizing Bu-Ul-Gyeong cooperation and discovering joint cooperation tasks.

The meeting was organized to secure momentum for promoting the economic alliance.

The main agenda items included ▲ plans for forming the Bu-Ul-Gyeong Policy Council ▲ joint establishment of the Bu-Ul-Gyeong Ultra-Wide Area Development Plan (draft) ▲ joint response to securing national funding for 2024 ▲ formation of the Bu-Ul-Gyeong Ultra-Wide Economic Alliance Advisory Group ▲ selection and promotion plans for Bu-Ul-Gyeong joint cooperation projects (draft), among others.
