Soldak Announces Focused Solution Updates on Day 2 Aligned with Non-Face-to-Face Medical Pilot Project

SolDoc, a non-face-to-face medical consultation solution company, announced on the 2nd that it is significantly updating and supplying medical consultation solutions for hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies in line with the non-face-to-face medical consultation pilot project that started on the 1st.

The non-face-to-face medical consultation solution developed by SolDoc for medical institutions currently provides functions such as reception/reservation, consultation, online prescription (EMR), and customer management (CRM) for non-face-to-face medical patients. It also offers patients the ability to select their preferred pharmacy to receive prescribed medications.

This update by SolDoc focuses on strengthening the existing re-visit centered 'SolDoc Primary Care Physician' service, which allows patients to continue receiving consultations via non-face-to-face medical care at the hospitals or clinics they have been using, and providing functions such as local prescription drug pickup. Industry experts say that by applying the pilot project guidelines through SolDoc’s proprietary solution, confusion among medical institutions is minimized and smooth adoption is possible.

As of May, the number of hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies using the SolDoc solution reaches about 500. The company explained that inquiries about adopting the solution have significantly increased since the official announcement of the Ministry of Health and Welfare’s pilot project guidelines.

A SolDoc representative said, “We are focusing on supporting medical institutions new to non-face-to-face consultations in gaining experience providing safe and convenient non-face-to-face medical services to patients,” adding, “Since this service was created by medical professionals, we will work to further promote the effectiveness of non-face-to-face consultations from the perspective of healthcare providers.”

Since July of last year, before the pilot project was implemented, SolDoc has been supplying a dedicated non-face-to-face medical consultation service called 'Digital Home Visit' for elderly care institutions.

In partnership with leading silver care startups such as Caring and the Korea Senior Research Institute, the 'Digital Home Visit' service provides non-face-to-face medical consultations to elderly individuals who have been assessed for care levels. Currently, SolDoc’s solution is used in about 20 day and night care centers and nursing homes nationwide. SolDoc explains that all these services comply with the Ministry of Health and Welfare’s pilot project guideline requirements.

Last month, SolDoc was designated as a ‘Seoul City Preliminary Social Enterprise (Regional Type)’ by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and is currently working on partnerships with local governments and regional welfare organizations based on its existing achievements.

A SolDoc representative stated, “Through continuous technological advancement and solution updates, we will provide services that meet the pilot project standards,” and added, “We will focus on improving medical accessibility for medically vulnerable groups.”
