‘Saint Johns Yangyang The Suite’ Scheduled for Home Shopping Broadcast

Various information about ‘Saint Johns Yangyang The Suite’ is scheduled to be broadcast through the CJ OnStyle channel, attracting the attention of consumers. The broadcasts are planned for prime time at 9 PM on high viewership weekend evenings, including June 4 (Sunday), June 18 (Sunday), and July 8 (Saturday), allowing viewers to learn about the complex’s location, products, and future value.

Notably, from the 1st of this month, the mandatory isolation for COVID-19 confirmed cases was lifted, marking the start of a full-scale return to daily life. Accordingly, tourism demand is expected to increase sharply, drawing attention to ‘Saint Johns Yangyang The Suite,’ which is anticipated to directly benefit from this trend.

The increase in tourists to Gangwon Province has been prominent since last year. According to data from the Gangwon Tourism Foundation, the total number of tourists visiting Gangwon Province in 2022 was 153.45 million, an increase of approximately 22.34 million compared to 2020, immediately after COVID-19. The year-on-year tourist growth rate ranked first for Gangwon Province at 17.8%, followed by Incheon Metropolitan City at 14.91%, and Jeju Special Self-Governing Province at 14.87%.

Among these, Yangyang County, which has many representative tourist attractions in Gangwon Province, welcomed a total of 16.83 million tourists last year, an increase of about 2.5 million compared to 2021. The most recent data from April shows a total of 1.214 million visitors, up 179,100 (17.3%) from March’s 1.035 million, indicating growing popularity.

The reason ‘Saint Johns Yangyang The Suite’ is attracting consumer attention is due to these factors. First, the complex boasts an excellent location. It is situated right in front of Naksan Beach, offering a ‘real beachfront’ location with views of the East Sea, including Naksan Beach (excluding some units). Notably, Naksan Beach is known as the ‘Mecca of Surfing,’ attracting numerous surfers, and the nearby Naksansa Temple, a representative site of Yangyang founded during the Silla Dynasty, provides abundant tourist demand in the surrounding area.

Using the Seoul-Yangyang Expressway, it takes about 90 minutes to travel from Seoul to Yangyang, and the proximity to Yangyang International Airport and the Yangyang Intercity Bus Terminal, relocated last year, makes it convenient to visit using public transportation. The Donghae Expressway and National Route 7 provide quick access to Yangyang city center as well as Sokcho, Gangneung, and Samcheok, making it easy to visit multiple regions simultaneously.

The product’s appeal is also outstanding. ‘Saint Johns Yangyang The Suite’ is designed in an ‘X’-shaped tower structure, increasing the ocean view ratio to approximately 81%. The complex consists of 216 units across 6 basement floors to 23 above-ground floors, with exclusive areas ranging from 37 to 125 square meters. The unit breakdown by size is as follows: ▲37㎡B 18 units ▲40㎡C 36 units ▲41㎡A 42 units ▲43㎡D 36 units ▲61㎡F 42 units ▲68㎡E 36 units ▲116㎡PH-B 2 units ▲125㎡PH-A 4 units.

The interior facilities also have many advantages. Each unit has a balcony, and permanent panoramic ocean views (excluding some units) are available from inside the rooms, which is expected to result in high consumer satisfaction. The complex will feature hotel-grade amenities such as a fitness room, G·X room, and business lounge, which can be used for leisure and seminars. Additionally, a ‘rooftop sky pool’ facing the sky and sea will be installed on the rooftop, and surrounding relaxation and leisure facilities such as a ‘sky garden’ and ‘therapy garden’ will be created.

Safety has been enhanced by using the ‘slurry wall’ construction method. The slurry wall method is known for producing less noise and vibration, having higher wall stiffness, and being safer compared to other methods. It also has excellent waterproofing properties, allowing excavation without lowering the surrounding groundwater level. It is not affected by ground conditions, and the thickness and shape of the walls can be freely selected, making it suitable for permanent underground walls or deep foundations. The method involves filling the excavation area with a stabilizing fluid (slurry) to prevent collapse or groundwater inflow during construction.

The operation of ‘Saint Johns Yangyang The Suite’ will be managed by the hotel group ‘Saint Johns,’ which has experience and trust from serving as the official accommodation for the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, ensuring high-quality service and a stable operating system. This is expected to provide sufficient services for foreign tourists as well.

Meanwhile, ‘Saint Johns Yangyang The Suite’ is a residential lodging facility that anyone aged 19 or older can contract without a subscription savings account. It is considered non-residential, so it is not counted as a housing unit, and there are no acquisition tax surcharges or property tax burdens, with resale of pre-sale rights allowed. Especially, full interest-free payment of the intermediate payment is applied, reducing the initial financial burden, and up to 45 days of annual lodging benefits are provided.

‘Saint Johns Yangyang The Suite’ is currently operating a sales promotion center.
