Naver Person Information will transform into a space that can capture expertise, individuality, and preferences through a service update on the 14th.
Users will be able to register professional 'fields' information on their profiles. This adds items that emphasize expertise in addition to existing job and career information. For example, for the job of 'interpreter,' users can introduce the languages they professionally interpret, such as English, Japanese, and French. For 'psychological counselors,' detailed professional fields like child and adolescent, couple and family counseling can be provided through the profile.
Additionally, the 'pets' section, which has recently attracted much user interest, will be added to profiles, and users will be able to upload up to 40 profile photos directly through the self-participation service. This makes it easier to register various photos that express one's unique personality. Last December, Naver Person Information updated profiles by adding items such as MBTI, hobbies, and nicknames to allow users to express themselves more diversely. As of the day after the update, new registrations and modification requests increased about fivefold compared to before, receiving positive responses from users.
Yang Mi-seung, leader of Naver Person Information, said, "The newly added profile items, professional 'fields' and 'pets,' were the top two choices in a user survey asking for 'information they want to add.'" She added, "We plan to continue expanding Naver Person Information into a space where users can express themselves more diversely and uniquely based on active communication with users."
Meanwhile, Naver Person Information plans to enhance the convenience of the 'Person Information Self-Participation' service through this update. The self-participation service, which was only available on PC, will be supported on mobile devices as well. A 'MY Page' will be newly established within the self-participation service, allowing users to conveniently use registration, modification, authorization, and deletion requests, and to check their permissions, progress status, and application history at a glance.
