Samsung Electronics Introduces Vacuum Cleaner Usage in Sign Language for 'Nongainui Nal'

Participation in the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Project

Samsung Electronics announced on the 2nd that it is participating in the 'Meeting Sign Language' project conducted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on the 3rd to commemorate the 27th 'Deaf Day,' and will present sign language videos demonstrating how to use vacuum cleaners to improve accessibility to home appliances for the deaf.


The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism designed and distributed a dedicated emblem to identify QR codes supporting Korean sign language interpretation services among various promotional materials. Samsung Electronics is the only private company participating in the project and produced sign language videos demonstrating how to use the stick vacuum cleaner 'Bespoke Jet AI' and the robot vacuum cleaner 'Bespoke Jet Bot AI.'

The videos include introductions to the powerful and smart cleaning capabilities of the Bespoke Jet AI and Bespoke Jet Bot AI products, as well as instructions on how to use the 'Clean Station,' which automatically empties dust. They also provide guidance on selecting various brushes according to cleaning areas and purposes, and how to link with SmartThings.


Starting at the end of this month, Samsung Electronics will apply the 'Meeting Sign Language' emblem to the packaging boxes of products for which sign language videos have been produced. Consumers can watch the sign language videos by scanning the QR codes on the product packaging boxes, and they are also available on the Samsung Electronics Service website and official YouTube channel.


Samsung Electronics is considering expanding the production of sign language videos to other home appliance product lines. The company plans to provide guidance so that consumers can use Samsung Electronics products more conveniently.


Yvona, Executive Director of Samsung Electronics' Home Appliance Business Division, said, "We participated in this 'Meeting Sign Language' project so that more customers can use our products conveniently," adding, "We will continue to improve accessibility in usability, information delivery, and services so that Bespoke home appliances can provide a better experience for everyone."
