Geumcheon-gu to Operate ‘Geumcheon Healing Family Camping Farm’ from June to October

Held at Geumcheon Urban Agriculture Experience Center from June 7 to October 28

Camping Experience for Geumcheon Residents Every Friday and Educational Groups Every Wednesday

Monthly Applications Accepted on District Office Website from June 2 to September 30

Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced that it will operate the ‘Geumcheon Healing Family Camping Farm’ from June 7 to October 28.

The ‘Geumcheon Healing Family Camping Farm’ is held twice a week at the Urban Agriculture Experience Center located at 332 Haan-dong, Gwangmyeong-si, Gyeonggi-do.

Every Friday, the program is open to 8 Geumcheon resident families (up to 6 people per family), and every Wednesday, it is available for daycare centers or educational institutions located in Geumcheon-gu.

The usage hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Geumcheon-gu provides participating residents with a ‘shade shelter platform’ (area of 17.5㎡) where they can cook. Participants must prepare their own tents, mats, and food.

Those wishing to experience the camping farm can apply monthly from June 2 to September 30 through the Geumcheon-gu Office website under ‘Integrated Reservation → Other Reservations.’ Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, and detailed schedules can be found on the ‘Geumcheon News’ bulletin board.

Mayor Yu Seong-hoon of Geumcheon-gu said, “I hope residents can visit the nearby camping farm to relieve stress and rest in nature,” adding, “We will continue to hold various agricultural experience events so that residents can enjoy healthy leisure activities.”
