Samsung Likely to Host Galaxy Unpacked in Seoul… President Lee Young-hee Calls It a "Meaningful Market" Lee Young-hee, President of Samsung Electronics (Head of Global Marketing Office)

Samsung Electronics is likely to hold its ‘Galaxy Unpacked’ event in Seoul this coming second half of the year.

Lee Young-hee, President of Samsung Electronics (Head of Global Marketing Office), hinted on the 1st that the foldable smartphone new product launch event (Galaxy Z Fold5 · Galaxy Z Flip5) will be held in Korea. After attending the Samsung Ho-Am Prize award ceremony held at the Shilla Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul, Lee briefly answered the press’s question, “Why hold Unpacked in Seoul?” by saying, “Because Korea is meaningful and important.”

Until now, Unpacked events have mainly been held in places like New York or San Francisco in the United States. Lee’s remarks are interpreted as preparing for the first-ever Unpacked event in Korea, considering the importance and symbolism of the domestic market.

Samsung Electronics’ official stance is that the schedule and venue have not yet been finalized. However, Seoul or Busan are being strongly mentioned as likely locations.
