Kookmin University Signs Business Agreement with Social Campus On Gyeonggi to Promote Social Economy Organizations

Kookmin University (President Lim Hong-jae) announced that on May 30, it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Social Campus On Gyeonggi (Director Lim Jae-moon) at Room 404 of the Industry-Academic Cooperation Building to promote social economy organizations and industry-academic cooperation.

Social Campus On Gyeonggi, a social enterprise growth support center, is operated with lottery funds provided by the Korea Social Enterprise Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Employment and Labor, and is entrusted and managed by the Gyeonggi Social Economy Enterprise General Trading Company (Sahyeop).

Through this agreement, both organizations plan to collaborate on building networks to revitalize social economy organizations and social economy enterprises in Gyeonggi Province, supporting market development and business activities, and promoting these efforts.

At the signing ceremony, Director Lim Jae-moon of Social Campus On Gyeonggi stated, “Our growth support center strives to embrace and assist young people who are seeking their future through various means amid difficult circumstances,” adding, “We hope to be of help to many young people at Kookmin University as well.”

Oh Ha-ryeong, Vice President for Industry-Academic Research and Director of the LINC 3.0 Project Group at Kookmin University, also responded, “Our university focuses on growing in harmony with the local community and the school,” and said, “Through this cooperation, we will spare no support at the institutional level to maintain a mutually beneficial relationship with Social Campus On Gyeonggi.”

Attending the MOU signing ceremony were Director Lim Jae-moon and mentor Ham Young-gil from Social Campus On Gyeonggi, Vice President Oh Ha-ryeong of Industry-Academic Research at Kookmin University, Professor Kim Jong-sung of the Graduate School of Global Entrepreneurship and Venture, and Seo Jun-gyeong, head of the Industry-Academic Cooperation Team, who discussed step-by-step strategies and plans for future collaborative projects.
