Hyundai Mobis Accelerates Technology Innovation 'Gas Pedal'

Achievements at Major Domestic and International Awards Ceremonies

Hyundai Mobis's technological innovation achievements are being recognized. As a result of strengthening research and development (R&D) in various fields of future mobility, the company has achieved remarkable results at major domestic and international award ceremonies. It is praised that the company’s investment of more than 1 trillion won solely in R&D and the encouragement of a challenging corporate culture to transform from a traditional auto parts manufacturer to a future mobility specialized company are bearing fruit.

Independent Rear-Wheel Steering System

Earlier this year, the company received four Innovation Awards at CES 2023 in the United States. These included the Swivel Display, lightweight rear suspension, brainwave-based driver monitoring system, and a 25-inch large head-up display (HUD). The Swivel Display was recognized for its innovation due to its moving structure design, where a large curved display located at the vehicle’s driver seat moves up and down, and the rear suspension technology succeeded in reducing the number of chassis parts, achieving weight reduction.

Last year, at the Pace Award, an innovation technology award hosted by the U.S. automotive magazine Automotive News, Hyundai Mobis was recognized as a finalist in the advanced technology category. It was the only Asian company to receive this honor. Hyundai Mobis’s technological innovation achievements are also remarkable within the group. In the second half of last year, three of Hyundai Mobis’s technologies were selected as final excellent ideas in the Hyundai Motor Group Management Innovation Idea Contest.
