Yeongdeungpo-gu Establishes Direct Incheon Airport Bus Route from Yeouido and Yeongdeungpo Station… Faster Access to Incheon Airport

New Airport Bus No. 6007 Passing Through 12 Stops Including National Assembly and Yeongdeungpo Station

First Operation at 4:30 AM on June 1… Arrives at Incheon Airport Within 90 Minutes, Runs Every Hour

Completed Incheon Airport Access Network for Each Dong Including Yeouido, Dangsan, Singil, Daerim, and Mullae

Yeongdeungpo-gu (Mayor Choi Ho-kwon) announced that starting June 1, the new bus No. 6007 will begin its first operation, running between Yeouido, Yeongjung-ro area, and Incheon Airport.

This is expected to greatly improve access to Incheon Airport within the district.

Until now, there was no direct Incheon Airport bus passing through Yeouido and Yeongjung-ro. Concerned about residents' inconvenience, the district has continuously requested Seoul City since March to establish an airport bus route in the Yeouido and Yeongjung-ro area.

The newly launched bus No. 6007 is the second step toward building a metropolitan transportation network, following the May introduction of bus No. 6008, which operates between Navy Hotel, Mullae Station, and Incheon Airport.

Bus No. 6007 starts at 4:30 AM from the National Assembly and passes through ▲Kensington Hotel ▲Yeouinaru ▲Fairmont Hotel ▲Conrad Hotel ▲Korea Exchange ▲Yeongdeungpo Station ▲Times Square ▲Yeongdeungpo Market Station ▲Sinhwa Hospital ▲Dangsan Prugio ▲Dangsan Station. The last bus departs at 8 PM.

Using the first bus, passengers can arrive at the airport around 6:40 AM, reaching Incheon Airport within 1 hour and 30 minutes faster than the Airport Railroad, without passing through Gimpo Airport.

In response to the increase in international air travel demand after COVID-19, the district expanded the operation to 14 trips per day with intervals of about one hour to enhance convenience for residents.

Additionally, to improve public transportation convenience and mobility for residents in Singil New Town and Mullae-dong, the district introduced bus No. 6008 on May 1.

Currently, there are a total of five airport bus routes operating in the district, including No. 6007. With the establishment of a metropolitan transportation network connecting Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo Station area, as well as Singil-dong, Dangsan-dong, Daerim-dong, and Mullae-dong to Incheon Airport, residents can conveniently access the airport from anywhere.

Choi Ho-kwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo-gu, stated, “Ahead of the summer vacation season and the recovery of air travel demand, we have proactively expanded airport bus operations so that residents can use Incheon Airport safely and conveniently. We will ensure smooth operation by preparing bus stop sign maintenance and installing promotional facilities before the bus service begins, providing great support to residents using the bus.”
