LG Electronics Launches New Concept Portable Screen 'StandbyME Go'

A New Concept Lifestyle Screen Enjoyable Indoors and Outdoors
All-in-One Design Equipped with Screen, Speakers, Battery, and More

LG Electronics announced on the 31st that it will launch a new concept portable screen, the 'LG StanbyME Go.'

The LG StanbyME Go (model name: 27LX5) is a new lifestyle screen that expands the experience of enjoying TV viewing spaces alongside the wireless private screen 'LG StanbyME.' It enhances portability by reflecting customers' desires to enjoy various content not only in traditional indoor spaces such as living rooms and bedrooms but also outdoors in parks and campsites.

The all-in-one design product, which integrates the screen, stand, and speakers, resembles a ready-bag style travel suitcase. There is a handle on the top of the case for easy carrying. Inside, accessories such as a remote control and power cable can also be stored. Equipped with a built-in battery, it can be used for up to 3 hours without being connected to a power source.

It has excellent durability, having passed 11 items of the U.S. Department of Defense durability tests (2 types of low pressure, 2 types of high temperature, 2 types of low temperature, dust, vibration, salt fog, shock, and drop).

Without any separate assembly or installation process, simply opening or closing the case turns the screen on or off. The 27-inch touch screen supports ▲tilt up to 90 degrees upward ▲rotating up to 90 degrees clockwise ▲height adjustment up to 18 cm. Customers can rotate the screen horizontally or vertically or use it in table mode depending on their viewing environment.

LG Electronics provides unique content such as games and theme skins specialized for table mode, where the screen lies flat. Users can enjoy retro and unique experiences by playing board games like chess and spot-the-difference by touching the screen or listening to music on their own digital turntable by applying dedicated skins.

The product’s built-in 20-watt (W) speaker automatically emits optimal sound toward the front of the screen according to the screen mode, making the sound clearer. It also supports Dolby’s latest video technology Dolby Vision and immersive audio technology Dolby Atmos, offering an immersive viewing experience.

It is equipped with various convenient features. It runs on LG’s proprietary smart TV platform webOS and supports AirPlay and screen mirroring, allowing easy screen sharing with iOS and Android OS devices. Additionally, voice recognition is supported, making it easy to change channels, adjust sound, and search for content using only voice commands during activities such as cooking or cleaning at home or setting up a tent while camping outdoors.

LG Electronics plans to sequentially sell the LG StanbyME Go through online and offline channels, starting with the live broadcast 'Ella Show' on LG Electronics’ online brand shop (OBS) on the 7th of next month. The launch price is 1,170,000 KRW.
