Travelers can enjoy discounts not only at restaurants but also on rental cars, airport pickups, hotels, and shopping at T Membership global partner locations. The T Membership global travel service showed a high participation rate last summer, with about 72% of T Membership users in Guam and Saipan utilizing the service. With this expansion of partner locations, overseas usage is expected to increase significantly.
SKT will conduct a launch promotion in line with the expansion of the ‘T Membership’ global travel service. From June 1 to July 31, in five Southeast Asian countries?Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Guam, and Saipan?approximately 300 major partner locations including restaurants, tours, and shopping will offer discounts ranging from 15% to 50%, tailored to local characteristics. The offerings range from rooftop bars, a dream spot for young people, to seaside activities.
In Bangkok, Thailand, customers can receive a 30% discount at Banyan Tree Moon Bar, known as a rooftop hotspot. In Vietnam, Cong Cafe offers a free coconut smoothie coffee. At Gold Mango Grill in Cebu, Philippines, the popular Crab Rose Pasta is discounted by 30%. In Guam and Saipan, in addition to existing partners, benefits have been added at local restaurants such as Longhorn Steak and services like dolphin cruises and airport pickups.
Even after the June-July promotion ends, customers can continue to receive ongoing discounts. For example, at the essential Thai travel spot, the massage shop Diora, a 15% discount is available. In Da Nang, the famous local restaurant Mikasa, popular among locals, offers a 10% discount on signature dishes. At Namdaemun, a representative Korean restaurant in Saipan, customers can choose one of three popular menu items for a 30% discount. Detailed discount rates can be checked on the T Membership website or app.
From June 1, users can access the newly revamped ‘Global Travel’ menu on the T Membership website or app to check detailed benefits of newly added partner locations by country and region in each specialized section.
Additionally, SKT customers visiting Guam and Saipan can subscribe to the free roaming service ‘T Guam Saipan Domestic-like’ provided since 2018, allowing them to use the basic data included in their domestic subscription plans locally without extra charges.
Yoon Jae-woong, head of SK Telecom’s Subscription CO, said, “We have secured various partners including famous local restaurants, cafes, and essential transportation benefits so that customers can enjoy balanced advantages whether traveling solo or with family. In the post-COVID and high inflation era, we plan to add popular overseas travel destinations in the second half of the year so that T Membership customers can enjoy cost-effective overseas travel with high psychological satisfaction.”
