Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 30th that it will hold the 21st Century Jangseong Academy by inviting Professor Moon Jeong-hoon from the Department of Agricultural Economics and Sociology at Seoul National University at the Jangseong Culture and Arts Center Small Theater on the 1st of next month.
Professor Moon is a ‘food industry star’ at the forefront of the development of Korean cuisine, K-food, which is expanding its competitiveness globally.

After earning his Ph.D. from the State University of New York, he served as a professor at KAIST’s College of Business and Science and has been a professor at Seoul National University’s Department of Agricultural Economics and Sociology since 2010. He currently leads the Seoul National University Business Lab.
The Seoul National University Business Lab researches businesses in the fields of ‘eating, drinking, and entertainment’ using management science methods, and annually predicts and analyzes domestic food consumption behavior trends based on consumer food purchase data and online market sales data.
Recently, it gained attention by publishing ‘Food Trends 2023.’
At this 21st Century Jangseong Academy, Professor Moon will lecture on the subtopic ‘Planning Premium Products Based on Biodiversity,’ focusing on ‘How to Sell Our Agricultural Products at Higher Prices.’
The county expects this to be a useful lecture that provides knowledge on management methods aligned with market trends and flows in the agricultural sector.
A pre-performance by electronic cellist Kim Seo-yeon is scheduled.
On-site attendance is on a first-come, first-served basis without prior application, and real-time listening is also available through Jangseong-gun’s YouTube channel. The lecture video can be watched anytime later on the Jangseong-gun website and YouTube channel.
