Leading the Way in Creating a Healthy Earth through Environmental Cleanup and Eco-Friendly Activities
Promega, the No.1 omega-3 brand from Chong Kun Dang Health, held a plogging event with its supporters at Ichon Hangang Park on May 11. Plogging is a combination of the Swedish word ‘plocka upp,’ meaning ‘to pick up,’ and the English word ‘jogging,’ referring to the activity of jogging while picking up litter along the way.
Promega operates an official brand supporter program to continuously raise awareness about the importance of blood circulation health and omega-3 intake. This event was planned with the purpose of creating a healthy planet by cleaning up litter in every corner of our surroundings, just as blood circulation health is important to people.
On the day, Promega supporters lightly jogged around Ichon Hangang Park for about an hour, collecting everyday trash such as cigarette butts and plastic bags, and tidying up the environment. In addition to plogging, they practiced eco-friendly habits in daily life, such as using tumblers, reducing disposable product usage, and using public transportation, spreading positive influence through social media.
The supporters who participated in the plogging said, “It was a win-win situation because we could exercise and protect the environment at the same time,” and “It was a meaningful time to think once again about my blood circulation health and the Earth’s environment together with Promega.”
Meanwhile, Promega plans to continue supporter activities, including CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) training, to help more people recognize the importance of blood circulation health beyond plogging.
